SHERLOCK HOLMES

I saw this film two weeks ago. When I went to the cinema I knew that this film has had excellent write-ups, but when I finish to saw it I was very satisfied because I chose a very good option.
I'm sure that all the people know who is Sherlock Holmes and one time they almost read his books, in spite of all, everybody know that Sherlock Holmes is a detective and the histories are about cases that they need to solve, he and his friend called Dr. Watson.
When I saw the trailer I thought that it would be an action film but when you saw it you realized that it's a film with action and a lot of comedy moments.
I like it for that reason because this film was made with irony, and sometimes it can be very funny, for example there's a moment when Sherlock Holmes and his companion are in pursuit of two men and suddenly Sherlock Holmes said stupid things. Moments like this are the best parts of the film because you saw that they are in a difficult situation but he is very calm and it's very strange.
Also Dr. Watson is like Sherlock Holmes because he also have irony. The two actors who interpreted these characters are fantastic in all the film because in the film you see that they are like one person.
Also the plot is very interesting. For the end, I'll deduce that it will be a second part.
I recommend this film to you, you have to see it, indeed.

No. 5's bright future, cut short by family violence

Rajaan Bennett was the senior with the shiny future -- the honors student and star running back who led his Georgia high school team to its first undefeated season.
He was the man of the family, he was only eighteen. He died killed for his mother's former boyfriend.

I feel like nothing because this situation are the ones which you don't awaited, and I feel sad for all the family because they didn't knew this resentment.
This people who make these terrible things need help because they aren't good from the head, I think that everyone have to be very careful with their old relationships because if you noticed something strange you can be prepared for the future.
It's a terrible situation because the murderer killed him because he didn't exceed their divorce, he killed him for resentment!
I feel very helpless because there are a lot of cases like this and you think it's very sad, but we can't make nothing to stop it because it's impossible to know totally the person who are with you, because the first appearances fools us.

CULTURAL EXCURSIONS

We, the students, always have things to do like homework, we need to study for the exams, work very hard, we do extracurricular activities...
When we have an excursion, we are very grateful because it's a day that is different from the others, another way to say it, it's a day to disconnect from the stress and we are all very excited.

There is a lot of different kind of excursions: cultural ones, enjoyment excursions like go to the theatre, the end of school excursion which is the most awaited one, etc.
Cultural excursions are very interesting because when we go to excursions is for learn something new or to get more information about a question we are interested in.

This year, all the excursions that we did are cultural ones because they are the type that we need. I say, that, we need to do these excursions because it's very important for our future. And they are important because they help us to orientate to a future career.
We went to one of the Barcelona's universities and also to one of the Girona's universities. We went there because these universities made an "open door day". Before to go there, we needed to choose two conferences. On the first one I chose Biology and Journalism but in one hand, I was really disappointed when I went to the Biology conference because the woman that made it only talked about the features of the university and I wanted to know things about the Biology's career like study's method, how many years it lasts, a little summary of what we were going to study, professional exits, the timetable and questions like these.
In the other hand, I went to the Journalism one and I liked it very much, but not the explanation because the woman was very unfriendly and she only read from the PowerPoint, I like what she said about the career. It was a little boring but in this one, different from Biology, they gave us a lot of information about this career.

In Girona, all was very different because it was very well organized and if you didn't know where was the conference, there were people that helped you to went there.
I liked it more than the another for many reasons. One reason is that the Girona's university is newer, also it's more beautiful in my opinion. Another reason is that it was easier to find the classes because it was better indicated, also it seems that all the people were more friendly and Girona is nearer than Barcelonam, from my town.
In this one the two conferences that I chose were Biology, another time, and Medicine. Both like me a lot, because the explanation was very good and they gave us a lot of information and the conference wasn't boring, I was listening all the time to the lecturer.
The Medicine's one was very interesting because the man was very nice and he explained us that in this career the study method is different from the others and this new method seems to be better than the others because you've got more contact with the teachers.
In conclusion, I was very disappointed to the Barcelona's excursion because is where I wanted to go in a future but also I'm satisfied because the Girona's excursion, the one which I don't awaited anything, like me very much.

THE CARNIVAL

Carnival is an important party celebrated in a lot of places around the world like Brasil, Spain, the Canary Islands...
I'm from Castelló d'Empúries. For me and for other people from the town, carnival there, is fantastic, but when you go to a town near here called Roses, carnival is excellent because they've got more days to celebrate it, it lasts from Thursday's night to Monday's evening, so at school people have got some days off. Also, in my opinion, people who live there enjoyed carnival better than ours.
I like it so much but on the other hand I hate it because we never have a float. When we have to decide which fancy dress we will wear, to choose it is a chaos because everyone want a different thing, and boys like a type of dresses different from girls so we always take a long time to reach an agreement. Another reason I've got to complain it is that on these days is my birthday and I hate it because it's impossible to celebrate it.
This year we are dressing up as painters. We are a group about 25 teenagers.
In this carnival we need to prepare ourselves the fancy dress because we didn't find one of painters in any shop, so we bought white dungarees which after we paint. When we were painting that we have a funny time together.
I've got an anecdote to tell. We painted it one afternoon, so everyone thought that in the evening the dungarees were dries but when I arrived at home with the painted dungaree, my mum started to shout because I get the floor dirty. The problem was the green paint which never dries because it was paint for fences. When I knew it I wanted to "kill" the boy who gave us this paint, but instead of this I only laughed for the disaster situation.
In spite of all, we had a really good time in all carnivals we had been, including Roses, St. Peter Fisherman, Castelló... Every night was plenty of funny.

THE IMPORTANCE OF DIFFERENT SPORTS

I'm a sixteen years old girl, I love and play volleyball but I'm very upset with the MEDIA.
Volleyball is a really nice sport. Is a team sport with no more than nine or ten players, only six players can play at one time. This sport is often played by girls and boys but boys are the most popular and they are the once who appears on TV.
I want to complain the little importance given to some sports like handball, volleyball, hockey, badminton...
The other day I was reading a sport newspaper and when I arrived at the last page I thought That's all? Because in all the newspaper I didn't see anything about the sport I'm interested in (volley), only appeared articles about football, basketball and CYCLING!!! Is cycling a very important sport?
It happens the same on TV, in the news only speaks about football and a few times about another sport.
Sometimes I've seen a volleyball match on TV but it was a match with man teams and the channel showed it at a very late time.
In my case, I also noticed this in my town. The people who played volley here, need to pay an amount every month and if we need something of material like new balls, new nets...or something about playing strips also we need to help the club to pay it. But in football is really different the clubs pay the players!!! and the town hall gives them money for all the equipment they need. It's unfair.
